HAPPY 109th National Day-Bhutan


May I take this moment eternally to salute your WANGCHUCK DYNASTY,
May I share my utmost gratification, love, respect, joy of impression on behalf the citizen of the Drukyul.
I pay my tribute to our Farsighted leader, the reign of Wangchuck Dynasty for their unprecedented service to the people of the country, sustaining peace and security in the heart of all Bhutanese Citizens.
Gongsar Ugyen Wangchuck-First King


I take this golden moment as a gem opportunity to wish the people of Bhutan a HAPPY 109th NATIONAL DAY CELEBRATION. May Peace and Tranquility prevails in the heart of all Bhutanese Citizens.

second King
On the 13th day of the 11th month of Bhutanese calendar, December 17, 1907, monks, councilors, and leaders from different regions of Bhutan gathered to unanimously elect Gongsar Ugyen Wangchuk as their first king, the first monarch of Bhutan.


Third King
Since 1616, Bhutan had been unified by the Buddhist spiritual leader Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal who ruled Bhutan for more than three decades. While after the demise of Zhabdrung Namgyal, Bhutan has been ruled by Desi and petty rulers till 1907. During the reign of petty rulers, the regional leaders tried to assume power through a nationwide civil war.
The Great Fourth King and The present King
After the end of civiL war in the country, concerning the peace and security in future, thus, upon the unanimous negotiation of farsighted group representatives from Monastic body, people’s representative and official they have decided to appoint Gongsar Ugyen Wangchuk as the first King of Bhutan in 1907. The door for peace and security opened in the country and peace and unity was restored.
       Brief History of our Monarch, the WANCHUCK DYNASTY  
Gongsar Ugyen Wanchuck born in 1862 to yab(father)Jigme Namgyal and yum(mother)   During the civil war under his diplomatic and leadership, Ugyen Wangchuck end the civil war defeating petty political leaders threatening the peace and security of the country and finally united the country.

Therefore, people unanimously selected and he was crowned Druk Gyalpo, the first dragon king of Bhutan.The crowning of the King opened a period of peace, unity, and prosperity to Bhutan.National Day in Bhutan is celebrated yearly on December 17. The coronation day of the first king of Bhutan, Gongsar Ugyen Wangchuk, at Punakha Dzong.
I take this final stance to offer our prayers and wishes to Your Majesty, the Wangchuck Dynasty-may peace and tranquility be there in the heartland of a peaceful Nation under the torch of your leadrship.
